The U.S. House of Representatives has initiated 'Crypto Week,' a landmark five-day legislative focus that could redefine digital asset regulation. Three critical bills are set for votes starting July 14, potentially ending years of regulatory ambiguity for the industry.

The GENIUS Act, already passed by the Senate with strong bipartisan support (68-30), mandates stablecoin issuers to maintain full cash or Treasury backing. Monthly reserve reports and annual audits WOULD become mandatory—a move toward transparency for dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies.

Market structure takes center stage with the CLARITY Act, which would shift crypto exchange oversight from the SEC to the CFTC. The House Agriculture Committee's 47-6 vote to advance the bill signals growing consensus on regulatory jurisdiction.

Privacy concerns drive the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, seeking to block Federal Reserve digital currency development. The bill's progression reflects mounting resistance against perceived government overreach into financial transactions.
